Short Biography

Prof. Zhang hails from Huairen City, Shanxi Province. She obtained her Doctor’s degree in measuring and testing technologies and instruments from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2007. In the same year, she pursued her postdoctoral research at Beihang University and started teaching here in 2009. She conducted academic visits at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore in 2012, and later at the Department of Physics, Hunter College of the City University of New York in the United States in 2017.

Focusing on fields such as aerospace, earth observation remote sensing and industrial inspection, she has long been engaged in research on intelligent optoelectronic imaging detection and optical design.

She has taken charge of over 10 research projects, including the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Pre-research Projects of the General Armaments Department, the Aviation Fund, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and horizontal projects commissioned by the Fifth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology. Besides, She has participated in more than 10 other projects, such as the Major Special Project for Scientific Instruments of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Special Project for Equipment Development and Model of the Central Military Commission, the National Basic Research Program of China, the National High-tech R&D Program of China, Pre-research Projects of the General Armaments Department and civil space activities.

She has published more than 40 academic papers, among which over 20 have been indexed by SCI and another over 20 by EI. She has also applied for and been granted more than 10 national invention patents. She has supervised more than 20 master's degree candidates. Among them, 5 have won the National Scholarship for Postgraduates, 3 have been rated as Outstanding Graduates of Beijing, 2 as Outstanding Graduates of Beihang University, 1 has received the "Outstanding Academic Thesis Award of Beihang University", and 1 has been nominated for the "Top Ten Postgraduates of Beihang University".
