I am Xu Hongjie, an Associate Researcher and faculty member at the School of Instrumentation and Optoelectronic Engineering, Beihang University. I was born in Fushun, Liaoning Province, in May 1968. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Harbin University of Science and Technology in 1988, my Master’s degree from the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 1993, and my Ph.D. from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2002.
Research Direction
Optical Fiber Sensing Technology
Including fiber optic gyroscopes, fiber optic current transformers, fiber optic micro-vibration sensors, and fiber optic hydrophones.
Optical Testing Technology
Including polarization state testing, spectral testing, and spectral self-coherence function testing.
Laser and Optoelectronic Technology
Including novel optoelectronic devices and the theory and technology of fiber lasers.
Research Achievements
I have published over 30 papers as the first author and have been granted 3 national invention patents.
I have received the Second Prize of the National Technology Invention Award, the Third Prize of the National Defense Technology Invention Award, and the Third Prize of the National Defense Science and Technology Progress Award.
