Short Biography

In 2016, Prof. Xie obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Manchester in UK, after which he served as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Manchester and the University of Warwick in UK. Since March 2019, he has been working in the Department of Measurement Control and Information Technology at the School of Instrumentation and Optoelectronic Engineering, Beihang University. His research focus includes industrial electromagnetic / ultrasonic non-destructive testing, ultrasonic phased arrays, electromagnetic acoustic transducers, and the development and application of industrial non-destructive testing instrumentation. Since 2016, he has published over 50 academic papers and has led projects including two National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, a sub-project of the Ministry of Science and Technology's Key R&D Program, the Beihang University Young Elite Scientist Sponsorship Program, etc. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Sensors Journal, an Academic Editor for Journal of Sensors, and Academic Editor for International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks.
